Currently, Gabriella Marie Landeros is the Press Secretary for the Los Angeles Federation of Labor. Previously, she was a Presidential Appointee serving as the Press Assistant for the U.S. Department of Commerce and a Digital Strategy Associate with New Partners Consulting, where she developed original digital content for various candidates and organizations, such as Muriel Bowser for D.C. Mayor. Before that, she was a Communications Associate with the National Hispanic Council on Aging (NHCOA) and served as Deputy Communications Director and Field Organizing Fellow for the Emanuel Pleitez mayoral campaign in Los Angeles. Her duties ranged from speech writing to managing digital media.
Her past experiences include reporting for the Talk Radio News Service, KUCR 88.3 FM, News at UCR: The Virtual Newspaper, Uwire.com: The College Network, and the Independent Voter Network. In addition, Gabriella is a contributing writer for Latinitas Magazine, where she writes articles to motivate and mentor Latina youth.
Gabriella graduated from the University of California, Riverside in 2012 and holds a B.A. in Media and Cultural Studies and minor in Spanish. Her strongest passions include workers’ rights, fair pay, reproductive justice, and women’s rights. During her free time she is training for the LA Marathon.
