Mrs. Michelle Acosta Emirzian earned her Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications/Public Relations and her Master of Science in Elementary Education from Iona College, in New Rochelle, NY. Mrs. Emirzian began her education career as a teacher. She later became an elementary school principal. Continuing her passion, Mrs. Emirzian, co-founded and was the Director of a private, independent elementary school. Mrs. Emirzian then decided to further her passion by joining PreK12Plaza to help create and deliver an educational platform that addresses one of the top challenges she personally experienced, making the right tools available to help underserved children. Mrs. Emirzian is currently the Chief Academic Officer and provides leadership, vision, motivation, organization and evaluation to all academic projects.
Michelle’s prior business experience with world class organizations such as Virgin Atlantic Airways, Major League Soccer, and Vitamin Water have instilled the virtues of building and maintaining world class organizations by providing the best possible services, always putting the client first.
Born and raised in Bronx, NY of Puerto Rican heritage, Michelle’s passion has been to educate and empower children to realize their highest and best potential, with an emphasis on language or socio-economically challenged backgrounds.
Michelle and her family relocated to Upstate NY in 2007. They have been enjoying and serving the local community ever since. Michelle also enjoys traveling, reading, and cooking. She has experienced and enjoyed the rich culture and architecture of cities such as Venice & Verona, Italy; Seville, Spain; Paris, France; London, England; and Old San Juan, Puerto Rico; just to name a few.
